| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description While listening to filmmaker David Lynch speak at the BAFTA Awards in February 2008, Moby had an epiphany. Lynch's message- creativity for its own sake is a beautiful, wonderful thing- was a simple one, but it hit Moby with the force of the Zen master's cane. "At that moment, I decided to just make records that were more personal," says Moby, "maybe more experimental, and a little more challenging, maybe not as easy to like, but things that I found to be artistically and creatively more satifying. That was the idea behind making the new album." The album resulting from this epiphany, Wait For Me, is a radical departure from Moby's recent albums- last year's paean to the dance floor, Last Night, 2008's flirtation with modern rock, Hotel, the shimmering ambience of 2002's 18, and the zeitgeist-defining melancholy electronica of 1999's Play. Liberated from the pressures of trying to please himself at the same time as the industry, in making Wait For Me Moby decided to forego the expensive studios, state-of-the-art equipment, big name guest artists, and phalanxes of graphic designers and image consultants that have characterized some of his previous albums. "There's something so relaxing about doing everything yourself, and not trying to second-guess the market," Moby says. "It's nice to try to do things for the right reasons- just make a record because you want to make a record."

more gorgeous music from Moby March 14, 2010 Anna Wilder (Vienna, Austria) Moby's immense talent never fails to astonish me and this soulful, atmospheric album is a triumph.
The highlights "JLTF" and "Hope is Gone" are so ineffibly beautiful they make me want to cry.
One of Moby's best albums January 25, 2010 QuickReviews Introspective, somber, dreamy, and addictive.. it sweeps you away on a captivating journey. This is an album meant to be listened to all the way through. Be warned that this is not an upbeat album so set your expectations accordingly.
Be sure to check out the Deluxe version of this disc for an extra disc and some live footage well worth the extra dollar or two over this version.
The best album by MOBY till date. January 17, 2010 Ajay Diarsa (India) Musically 'wait for me' is the best album I have ever come across ( by any artist ) . Vocals are heart piercing. For me '18' was more musical than 'play'. So if you have same feelings & if you love southern blues then this album is a MUST.
Enchanting December 18, 2009 Reuben Koutal (Latitude 32:40 N, Longitude 34:00 E) I listen to it in very special moments. You'll have to try it over and over until you get to the soul of it. It could mean a lot, even without you know it.
Thank goodness! November 25, 2009 Donald A. Prentiss (minneapolis, mn United States) I began to think Moby was losing his edge and was not a fan of his last effort at all. On this disc he shows he is back on the right path to offering some beautiful, catchy ambient tunes. If you are a fan of Moby's ambient and mid-school stuff, you'll dig this new one!
