| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Built-in WiFi brings it all together beautifully. Your Home Theater is also part of DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance). Samsung's DLNA certified TVs have AllShare, which enables the HTC6500 to content seamlessly by streaming between DLNA devices, allowing you to play files stored on your PC or even use your telephone through your TV.

| Customer Reviews:
HT-C6500 after one week September 4, 2010 Joseph Moreno (Washington, DC) I did a lot of research before buying the HT-C6500 (plus rear speaker wireless unit for another $99) on Amazon last week. I've never done a online review, but figure this may help others. Caveats -- I'm very computer savvy, but not so much with A/V equipment.
Other components:
Samsung Series 5 LCD 46" (2008)
Tivo Series 3 HD
Apple TV
Overall I am very happy with the system; HOWEVER, this is only after a learning curve and the purchase of a Logitech Harmony 1100 remote to bring everything together properly.
The 6500 looks and sounds great. The hardware is sharp and goes well with the Samsung TV. Setup took a while with online firmware update, but not too bad. No A/V sync problems or Blu-Ray problems as expressed in other reviews. I wanted this system primarily for the price, simplicity of just one box for amp/tuner/blu-ray player, and its two HDMI inputs to run the Apple TV and Tivo through.
The online features are just ok. Netflix is great, but I already had that with Tivo anyway. There are only a few apps available and they are not very functional. The interface is just ok. I do not see this replacing an iPad or living room computer any time soon.
My biggest complaint was getting the remote controls working in tandem and getting the input selection right. My wife wants simplicity and starting flipping out at the idea of yet another remote control. I hoped that with Samsung's "Anynet+" system it would be simpler; however, that would only apply if EVERYTHING was Samsung. One remote can work the TV and 6500 just fine, but inject the Tivo and Apple TV and much of the functionality is lost. Samsung's official position was to run the other HDMI components direct to TV and then do a digital out from TV to 6500. This loses 5.1 and largely defeats the purpose of a simple system. The better solution was to disable Anynet and purchase a good universal remote. So far I'm very happy with the Harmony 1100, it looks cool and works the inputs so that one button can get you where you need to be. This experience has taught me all about "toggle" versus "discrete" codes; I understanding that most entry-level systems are toggle, but going forward I would only buy products with discrete codes to make the input selection much simpler.
Bottom line -- great price, very good audio and video, with a few quirks that I have managed to work around.

*** Great HTS *** August 19, 2010 B. Kaiser (Byron, Ga USA) I did a ton of research on Home Theater Systems, and finally decided to spend the extra $$ and get this model. I already had an LG BlueRay player with wireless connectivity (Excellent I might add). I recieved this HTS yesterday afternoon and set it up ASAP. :) It took me about 2 hours to get it all straight. Mind you... I have never done this before. Hook-up was very simple and color coded. The sound is great, and THX is awesome. I am not an audio buff, and in that respect, pretty easy to please when it comes to sound systems. But, I'm no dummy either. I do know what sounds ok, and what sounds great. This is a very good system that looks fantastic. I have it hooked up to a Samsung 55" LCD. The remote runs both the HTS and TV. I love all the 'goodies' you get with the wireless hook-up (which was a breeze). It will find and configure whatever you have. Mine is secure and protected so I had to put in my security code. It will upgrade all the software, etc when you finally get it all connected. Takes awhile, but well worth it. Love this system for all that it can do. You will need a SWA-5000 wireless reciever to use the 'wireless' feature for the rear speakers. You DO NOT need a wireless adapter for the internet connection if you have wireless in the house. I have not gotten technical here as I'm not that into it. You will be pleased with this system.Samsung HT-C6500 Blu-ray Home Theater System
Great Sound Quality, A little tough to set up. August 16, 2010 J. J. Smith (Paoli, PA USA) This product has great sound quality for what we paid for it. As a home theater system in a box, we expected it to be a bit easier to set up on the software end of things. We had a really tough time connecting it to the wireless network and updating the blue ray player to watch Avatar and the instructions on how to set up the system to download updates wasn't super clear. (Because of the format of the B.D. this system requires an update to be able to play it.) Other than that, a great product, easy to set up the speakers themselves and to run not only the tv through it, but also any other components i.e. Wii, PS3. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a home theater system in a box. A great purchase that we would definitely do again for another room.
